Each location has a plan

Maple prices and bills per location. Every location is on a plan, and the plan decides which features it can use. Plans include Voice (the AI phone agent) and Pro (adds ordering, bookings, and delivery and POS integrations). Larger deployments can be set up with a custom plan by arrangement. When a restaurant pays Maple directly, you choose a plan when you create a location, and you can change it later from the location’s settings, on the Plan tab. When billing is arranged through your organization, plan selection is skipped when you create a location, and the Plan tab shows a managed-billing notice that points to your Maple account manager instead of plan controls. If you move a location to a lower plan, features it no longer includes, such as ordering, are turned off for it.

Who pays

By default, each restaurant pays Maple directly. The restaurant owner sets up billing when they complete onboarding, and the charge is made to the merchant’s legal entity (the company that is billed). Your organization doesn’t receive an invoice for your restaurants’ locations by default.

Partner billing

In some partner agreements, the partner bills its own restaurants. This is only available by arrangement with Maple. It isn’t a setting you can turn on yourself. To discuss it, contact Maple partnerships.

What restaurants see

A restaurant that pays Maple directly sees each location’s plan in the Plan tab of that location’s settings. How billing is shown for a restaurant depends on who bills it. Your Maple contact can tell you what your restaurants will see in their accounts.
